On L Tower's exterior, our crews are continuing with the window installation. But the big changes this month are on the inside. Boarding is going up throughout all the suites and in the corridors and common areas.
This is essentially the base layer before drywall goes up and as boarding progresses the interiors will really start to take shape.
Our crews have been forging ahead at L Tower since last month's topping off gala. We have windows more than halfway up the building and framing is continuing.
At the lower floors, suite layouts are beginning to take shape and we'll be preparing some standard interior unit specifications over the coming weeks. More on that soon. Overall, interior work is progressing very well and we'll be installing drywall in the suites soon.
We dropped by Pier 27 recently to find the bridge structurally complete with all the metal work finished. Forming of the west building is nearing completion. A big focus right now is to make sure the waterproofing is done before winter sets in.

Waterlilies is located at Dundas & Sixth Line in the heart of Oakville's uptown core. The development backs onto a major community park and pond, while the location offers easy access to shopping, transportation, schools and more.
We last visited Brampton City Hall in July. Since then we've almost finished the shoring. The large horizontal pipes that you see in the below photos are called struts. It's a slow process, but the struts are required to support the secant shoring wall.
The vertical members in the centre of the struts are called king piles. They are essentially a centre support like a column under a beam. Excavation is nearing completion in the main portion from east to west, and the team will get started on the south to north leg soon.
Forming has begun at P5 where footings, columns and walls are being poured. We've also erected the first of two cranes. Since the rain has let up we've been able to make some good strides forward. With Halloween over and November upon us, you might find more and more men sporting a dapper moustache. This, of course, is in honour of Movember where men grow moustaches to raise awareness and funds for men's health initiatives.
Among them will be the crew at Dominus, Cityzen's sister company. A team of fourteen men and six encouraging Mo-sisters will be taking part. The Movember campaign is in its ninth year. $125.7 million were raised globally last year, with Dominus bringing in $7,700.

We've been following the progress of our Waterlilies project in Oakville for quite some time now and have seen it develop from a big wet hole in the ground to an almost finished brand new community.
The Dominus crew have completed all of their work on site and now the Fernbrook crew is in doing what they do best.
All six blocks are in the final few phases of exterior completion, with balconies being put in, brickwork well underway and roofing all but finished.
By the looks of things, we won't have too many more visits back to Waterlilies after this one!

The Southwest Quadrant Renewal Plan for Brampton City Hall is well and truly underway, with our Dominus crew having commenced work on site back in February of this year.
We visited Brampton last week to check in on what's been happening and can report that progress on site is continuing at pace and we expect to remain on schedule.
The caisson wall, king piles and soldier piles are all completed and the process now is to dig as long and as deep as we can to start strutting in the next couple of weeks.
The aim at the moment is to mobilize the formwork this summer, with Verdi Alliance recently confirmed as the formworkers for the project.
Once underway, there will be two tower cranes on site, temporary power for the cranes, hoist and workers tools and a gas line will be installed soon for temporary heat for the winter months.

It's business as usual down at Yonge and The Esplanade and our L Tower project.
With 58 storeys to build, the main work for the past few months has been adding all those floors and getting more vertical. When we visited the site last week the crew were busy pouring floor 47 so there's not too long to go before we reach the top.
Aside from that, work is continuing on closing off the building, with windows installed up to floor 12, and electrical, plumbing and water works ongoing both at L and the Sony Centre Back of House.
So, not too much to report at this time. The name of the game is getting up to the top and we're well on our way to getting there soon.
