Our first visit to the Waterlilies site at Dundas Street East and Sixth Line in Oakville was in July, the crews were in the excavation stage on site, and there wasn't much to see. In the few months since then, the Dominus crew has ploughed ahead and with the arrival of the crane on site, work has progressed at a great pace.
The main focus on site for now is to finish pouring as much concrete as possible before the weather changes, and crews are well on their way to getting all the necessary work completed in time.
Check out the below images for the latest on site, and we have more photos in our Facebook album.
It has been busy on site with various crews preparing for winter.
Townhouse Block 1 and 2 slabs are poured and we are now in the process of forming and placing steel in preparation for landscaping work to start. All the footings for the columns are completed and the slab is poured for the ramp and driveway.
Roughly 80% of the pouring of the slab underground is completed, with around 30% of the upper slab poured.
A view from the underground. The Dominus crews should be all done on site early next year and then the Fernbrook crews will come in to start work on the first two blocks on the north end of the site.
Work has started on back-filling along 6th line and we are finishing up pouring the last walls of the first two blocks.
Work is continuing on pace with all expected deadlines still on track. The Dominus crew is working hard to finish up their duties so that everything is ready for Fernbrook to take on the next phase of construction, which should be in the next couple of months.
So, a lot of progress made! We'll be back in the new year for another look. In the meantime, please let us know if you have any questions on what's happening with Waterlilies on our Facebook and Twitter pages.
